District highlights
Academics
We proudly maintain a graduation rate that surpasses the state average year after year! Even more impressive, many students graduate not only with a high school diploma but also with an Associate’s Degree, thanks to the college credits they earn along the way.
Fine Arts
WCSD's bands and choir routinely earn top ratings at contests. Additionally, Husky Drama produces two shows per year - a play and a musical!
Activities
WCSD offers a wide variety of extracurricular and co-curricular activities designed to help students showcase their talents, explore their passions, and build leadership skills that extend well beyond the classroom.
Athletics
During the 24–25 school year, Winterset proudly celebrated over 50 All-Conference selections in the highly competitive Raccoon River Conference. In addition, multiple individuals were named all-district, all-region, or all state.
