  • Junior High Game Night Guidance- Winter Sports (updated 1/12/21)

The focus for our game night spectator guidance is to find the safest way possible to allow parents and a few others to watch our games in person.  The Winterset School District reserves the right to adjust JH Game Night Guidance based on the guidance and recommendations we receive from the IHSAA, IGHSAU, CDC, and Madison County Public Health.

      • Basketball:  Home games are played in the Winterset Junior High Gym or Winterset Middle School.

    • Entrance to the JH gym is through the new NE gym entrance with the Home of the Huskies window graphic.

      • Home fans may attend as a household- those people that live/reside under the same roof as the participant/coach.  If the participant lives in 2 homes, both households may attend.
      • A roster will be used at the ticket gate to check admission.
      • Visiting fans will have a 2 spectator per player limitation.  Either online ticketing or a roster will be used at the ticket gate to check admission.  Communication will be sent via Infinite Campus 1-2 days prior to the game.
      • Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for students, passes are accepted at home events.
        • If cash is used, the exact amount is highly recommended.

    General Spectator Information:

      • Spectators are responsible for their own health screenings. If you are not feeling well, showing any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, or have been around someone who is COVID-19 positive, stay home.

    • Masks are required for the duration of the event for all spectators over the age of 2.

    • Frequent Hand Washing and good hygiene practices are recommended.

    Seating Recommendations:

    • Spectators should social distance from anyone outside their family.
    • We ask that you NOT sit in a row or area marked with blue tape.
    • There will be no seating in the first two rows of bleachers for basketball games.

    Other Considerations:

    • Concessions will be provided for most games and matches.  Please follow signage and social distance.
    • No outside food or drink is permitted.  Each spectator may bring in one unopened, sealed bottle of water.

  • Sports Physicals

Students planning to participate in athletics need to have an up to date physical on file. Students without a physical on file will not be able to participate in activities (including practices) until the school has a copy of a current physical. If your child needs a physical form they may pick one up in the office.
