We know how busy teachers are, and it can be tough to find time to get a car wash. We hope they enjoyed this special treat and felt the appreciation from our community!

Today, our amazing 7th and 8th graders did an outstanding job! They worked hard removing tree limbs, cleaning fire pits, picking up trash, and raking leaves—all while enjoying time outside with each other! 🌞✨
Engaging in community service is a vital part of the culture at WJH, and our students truly showcased their commitment to making a difference.

Last Thursday, our talented students were one of just 15 schools to march in the 90th annual Tulip Time Parade in Pella! 🥳✨ The kids had an absolute blast participating in one of Iowa's most beloved events, showcasing their skills while performing Mr. Lichty's fantastic arrangements of "September," "School's Out," and "Crazy in Love." 🎺🎉
They performed wonderfully and represented Winterset exceptionally well! 👏 A huge congratulations to our Junior High Band for this memorable achievement!

Members of Mr. Heithoff's 7th grade Social Studies class presented their winning Thinglink Project to the City Council. 🎉✨ These talented students used the Thinglink platform to create an informative hub for new members of the Winterset/Madison County Community. 🏡💡

We're thrilled to share that our students had an incredible opportunity to visit a real-life radio station in the Des Moines area! 🎤✨ During this engaging employer visit, they learned about various careers in the field of media and communication.
Students attended informative sessions led by professionals in the industry, including the Advancement Director, On-Air Personality, Production, Administrative Specialist, Outreach Coordinator, and Program Director. They gained valuable insights into the diverse career pathways available in media.
One of the highlights of the visit was when students had the chance to record an advertisement in a real studio! They then learned how the recorded material is edited and produced for radio—an exciting hands-on experience that truly brought the world of media to life!
