👋🏼 Hey, Huskies...the countdown is on!
The first day of school is coming up and we have received a lot of inquiries regarding teacher assignments and schedules. Here are the answers to the biggest back-to-school questions! 👇🏼
👩🏻💻 Junior High and High School schedules are available in the Portal! If you have questions regarding your student's schedule, please reach out to your student's building (Junior High: 515-462-3336/High School: 515-462-3320).
✏️ Elementary and Middle School teacher assignments will be available in the Parent Portal next Wednesday, August 13th.
🎨 Preschool assignments will be available after August 13th. You will receive an email (to the email address you provided in your student's registration application) from your student's teacher.
🚌 Transportation information will be available in the Parent Portal the week of August 18th.
Please be patient with us as we finalize rosters and bus routes. We are just as excited as you are about the 25-26 school year and can't wait to see everyone at Family Engagement Night on the 21st! 🤩

Keeping up with recommended vaccines is one way to help students stay healthy and in school. During National Immunization Awareness Month, we encourage families to check in with their healthcare providers to make sure their children are ready to go with the necessary immunizations or appropriate waivers. 🩺 #wintersethuskypride

🍎 School Board Vacancy
The school board is a non-partisan group of community members elected to serve Winterset Community School District. With the intention of filling this vacancy through appointment, anyone wanting to be considered should submit a written statement to the Board Secretary by August 8, 2025 and include why they are interested in serving on the board and how their current experience will be helpful to board work. This appointment will serve until the next regularly scheduled election (November 4, 2025).
Notice of intent to appoint will be published in The Madisonian. Eligible electors have the right to file a petition requiring a special election to be held. Petitions must be received by the Board Secretary within 14 days of notice publication.

Today we celebrate the bonds that bring us together and remind ourselves that kindness, empathy, and connection make our schools—and our world—stronger. 💛 #wintersethuskypride
