Our School Counselors are thrilled to share two amazing new initiatives that show what it means to be part of WCSD!
First up, we’re introducing Welcome Bags for new families who join our district after the school year starts. These bags are a special way to say, “Welcome to Husky Nation!” and help new students and families feel right at home. Inspired by our district’s priorities and values, the Welcome Bags are all about building strong, positive relationships with each other and our community.
We’re also launching a Mental Health Support Fund to help families access counseling and support services when financial barriers stand in the way. This is our way of making sure every student has what they need to feel their best and succeed.
A HUGE thank you to the Women’s Giving Circle for funding these projects, and to Natalie Montross and CRISP for stepping up to manage the fund. We couldn’t do it without you!
We’re so proud to see our district values come to life through these initiatives. Together, we’re building an even stronger Husky Nation!
