Mr. Eggers 7th grade personal finance students took part in Finance Park at Junior Achievement. Students learned about career paths, income, insurance, and housing. Students were assigned jobs and salaries and had to create budgets to live that lifestyle!

Amima Asif, our Pakistani exchange student, gave a presentation on her home country as part of International Education Week. Cultural Awareness Club members learned about the history, languages, food, sports and festivals of Pakistan and listened to the national anthem!
For International Education Week, Ibrahim Jelle came and spoke to Mr. Thompson’s Geometry class about his home country, Kenya! Hakuna Matata!

School will dismiss at regular time 11/19. There will be no school Mon-Fri, Nov. 22-26. All School Building Offices will be closed. The Admin Office will be open 7am-4pm, Monday & Tuesday, Closed at 2pm on Wednesday.

Students in Mrs. St. John’s 11th grade classes finished their home unit by bringing sensory details that reminded them of home. Grant brought Brownie the cow & other students brought a variety of other examples: grandparents, parents, favorite cookies.

Angelina P., Ukrainian exchange student, gave a presentation to students and Cultural Awareness Club members on her home country as part of International Education week. Students learned about her hometown, holidays, dishes, and even learned and practiced some Russian words.
4 WHS students- Jaya W, Halie G, Raegan C & Allie S-attended the Youth Summit on the Judiciary System with Ms. Bibler. They went to the Federal Courthouse in DM on Friday to learn from Senator Grassley and two of the Federal Judges who work there.

Our own kindergarten teacher, Jody Smith, was chosen by the team to be recognized during the game last night as an outstanding educator. Besides teaching, Jody is active in the community with 4H & many other activities. Husky Nation is proud of you too, Jody! #wintersethuskypride
